Report: Suspect in Padre Island deaths of New Hampshire couple captured in Mexico
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A person of interest in the murder of a New Hampshire couple on Padre Island last month has been arrested, according to a Piedras Negras television station.
XHPNW-TV reports Adam Williams was captured in Jalisco. It is not clear when the arrest was made, nor if American authorities have been notified of the arrest. It is also not clear if Amanda Noverr, the other person of interest, was with him or arrested.
Williams had an arrest warrant in the case on a felony theft charge for taking James and Michelle Butler’s pickup truck and RV, which he was spotted driving into Mexico last month.
Kleberg County district attorney John Hubert said they need to investigate further to determine if Williams was responsible for the couple’s death.
