SAPD: Ride share driver shot on North Side, passenger was intended victim
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A ride share driver who was shot in the back of the head early Monday morning is alive but in the hospital in serious condition.
San Antonio police say they got the call at around 12:30 a.m. from the 1900 block of Anchor Drive on the city’s North Side.
Police believe the ride share driver was not the intended victim and that whoever shot him was aiming for a passenger in the back seat.
The passenger also had a gun and reportedly fired back, but there’s no word on whether or not they were hurt as they ran off before police arrived.
Officers did find shell casings in the vehicle and on the ground.
The driver was taken to a hospital but police are still searching for the shooter and the passenger.
This is a developing story. KTSA News will have updates when more information is released.
