Ruptured gas line fire forces Adkins area evacuations

BEXAR COUNTY, Tex. (KTSA News) — Residents in the Adkins area of Bexar County are being evacuated because of a ruptured gas line fire.
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said U.S. 87 is shut down in both directions in the 13800 block — which is east of Loop 1604.
It’s not immediately clear what sparked the fire or caused the 20″ line to rupture.
CPS and Cross Country Gas Co. have been notified.
