S.A. Gas Prices Down

The streak has been snapped.

For the first time in weeks, the average price per gallon at San Antonio gas pumps has fallen by two-cents over the last seven days.

“The market’s really already priced in the most expensive portion of gas prices moving to the summer blend” Gasbuddy dot-com’s Will Speer told KTSA News, but quickly warning drivers not to get used to recent falling prices as a trend.

In fact, Speer said new strength in the crude oil market to start the week could erase those declines very quickly.

“These increases in crude prices–if they remain–we could see them start to show up in our gas prices in the next week” Speer said.

Overall, Speer expects prices to hop by a couple of cents in either direction each week between now and Memorial Day.
