SA Area Experiences Big Population Growth

Does it seem like you have a lot of new neighbors? Are you having a tougher time finding a parking spot at your neighborhood HEB? That’s because the San Antonio-New Braunfels area is one of the fastest growing metro regions in the country.

From July, 2014, to July, 2015, more than 50-thousand people moved into our area. Overall, Texas gained 490-thousand new residents. Houston led the nation in population growth with Dallas coming in second.

One reason San Antonio may be growing so fast is that it’s consistently ranked as one of the best places to live. One of the latest surveys is by U.S. News and World Report. It ranks the Alamo City eleventh out of the fifty top places to live, citing the city’s art, culture and cuisine.
