SAISD to hold teacher job fair this weekend

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — San Antonio ISD is looking to hire elementary and secondary teachers to start working this school year.

The district is searching for math, science, bilingual, special education and English, Language, Arts and Reading (ELAR) teachers.

The job fair will be Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the SAISD Central Office at 514 W. Quincy.

Officials said the hiring event is in-person and masks will be required. Registered applicants must bring multiple copies of a resume and will be required to enter the event.

Job applicants will have the opportunity to meet campus administrators and officials said principals will be making recommendations or setting up follow-up interviews. Qualified applicants will have pre-hire opportunities.

“The district is seeking passionate individuals; passionate about learning, teaching, and inspiring students to reach their highest potential,” said Arnoldo Guitérrez II, interim executive director for recruitment and staffing. “Educators should be deeply committed to equity and believe, like us, that a zip code should not and cannot define the destiny of our students.”

Applicants must pre-register for the event here.
