Salvation Army looking for bell ringers during Red Kettle Campaign

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Have you ever wanted to be in a band, but you have zero musical skills?

Here’s a way for you to fulfill your rock and roll dreams while supporting a great cause.

The Salvation Army is looking for bell ringers for their Red Kettle Campaign.

The agency’s largest fund raiser is underway through Christmas Eve and to make sure it’s a success, they are looking for help.

Area Commander Capt. Josh Robinett says:

“The worst case scenario is that some of our locations could remain empty at various times. During periods when a bell is silent, a kettle cannot raise any money. ”

There are several ways you can help.

You can volunteer individually or corporations and organizations can volunteer as a group to staff a kettle for a shift or a full day.

Companies may also adopt an online kettle and solicit donations via email and social media.

You’ll find Red Kettles at most local Walmart and Sam’s Club stores, as well as Hobby Lobby, Bass Pro Shops and select mall locations.

Volunteers are asked to sign up at RegisterToRing.com.

Paid positions are also available. Those seeking a paid position are asked to call 210-352-2000.
