SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A San Antonio college student was charged with allegedly enticing minors into engaging in sexually explicit conduct, according to federal prosecutors Tuesday.

According to documents unsealed in court Tuesday, 21-year-old Felipe Duran used Internet accessible devices to entice a girl into sending him nude photos last year.

Duran then used those pictures to extort the girl into providing more images of her engaging in sexual activity, including forcing her to go into video chat rooms where she was expected to perform sexual acts for men.  If she did not follow his requests, Duran threatened to release the photos he had to her friends and family.

Duran, who lives in Atascosa in southwestern Bexar County, was arrested October 15th and was charged with enticement of a minor and extortion, as well as production, receipt and possession of child pornography.

If convicted, he faces up to life in federal prison and a maximum $250,000 fine.
