San Antonio Fire Department: Fire breaks out in grill vent at Northeast Side Burger King

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — It wasn’t a whopper of a fire, but it did cause some minor damage to a Northeast side Burger King.

Firefighters say they got the call from the fast food restaurant in the 6300 block of Rittiman Road at around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

The fire reportedly broke out in the flue of the grill vent.

Crews were able to keep the flames contained to that one area while there is no damage to the building itself, the flue and vent will need to be repaired.

No employees or customers were hurt in the fire and it’s not known when the restaurant will reopen.

The cause is still being investigated.
