San Antonio Fire Department: House destroyed, firefighter injured in North Side fire

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A San Antonio firefighter injured and a North Side home destroyed in a late-night fire.

The call from the 2800 block of Whisper Path Street came in Thursday night when a neighbor spotted the fire.

Crews arrived to find flames shooting through the roof and one of the firefighters was brought to a hospital after suffering a minor injury. The firefighter’s name hasn’t been released.

The home was empty at the time so no residents were hurt, but the house is a total loss.

Investigators are searching the remains for the cause of the fire.
