San Antonio Firefighters battle flames at North Side hot tub store as temps climb past 100 degrees

A thick layer of black smoke covered part of the North Side Sunday afternoon when a fire broke out at a hot tub store.

The San Antonio Fire Department says they got the call from Spa Crafters in the 2600 block of North Loop 1604 East at around 2:30 p.m.

The fire broke out in the warehouse section in the back of the building, burning through a lot of plastic and fiberglass inventory, along with some vehicles parked behind the building, which caused all that black smoke.

Crews battled the fire for more than an hour in 100 plus degree heat.

They were able to keep the flames from spreading beyond the warehouse.

No injuries were reported and the cause is still under investigation.
