SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A small Southwest side business was heavily damaged by fire Wednesday morning.
Firefighters were called to a building on Southwest Military near New Laredo Highway at around 4 A.M.
The fire had a pretty good head start but crews were able to put it out quickly.
No injuries were reported but the building that houses a tax office suffered $40,000 in damages.
While crews were fighting the flames, they had another obstacle pop up.
A water main broke as they were turning on a fire hydrant. It caused some damage to the sidewalk.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
