San Antonio Firefighters rescue man trapped in burning home

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — San Antonio Firefighters rescued a man from a burning home on the city’s North side Thursday morning.

KSAT-12 reports the fire at a home on Cassia Way was called in at around 3:45 A.M.

Crews saw heavy smoke coming from the home. A female resident and a dog got out safely but a man was trapped inside.

Firefighters were able to rescue the man who had to be transported to the hospital where he was treated for burns and smoke inhalation.

The fire was extinguished quickly and the cause is under investigation.
