San Antonio Firefighters respond to house fire on the Southwest side, two elderly residents hospitalized

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — An elderly couple had to be treated for smoke inhalation after fire destroyed their home Wednesday morning.

Firefighters were dispatched to Greer Street at around 4:30 A.M. The home was fully engulfed when they arrived.

Three people who lived in the home escaped the flames, two of them were brought to the hospital.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames but the home has significant damage. The cause is still being investigated.
