San Antonio firefighters suspect fireworks may be the cause of a fire that damaged two Northwest side homes

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Fireworks may have been the cause of a fire that did heavy damage to a couple of homes on San Antonio’s Northwest side.

The call came in from the 9300 block of Wildstone Place at around 11:30 P.M. Monday.

There was heavy smoke and flames already burning through both homes when firefighters got to the scene.

Their efforts were slowed down by the large number of vehicles parked along the street and the fireworks that were shooting though the air at the time.

Crews were able to get the flames under control but not before they caused significant damage to both homes.

The exact cause is under investigation but firefighters suspect the blaze was ignited by fireworks being set off by area residents.

No injuries were reported.
