SAN ANTONIO ( KTSA News) – The cold weather is impacting gas prices.

Joshua Zuber at Triple A Texas tells us the arctic blast in much of the country is creating a drop in demand for gasoline.

The result is a slight dip in the price you’re paying for a fill up.

The statewide average gas price in Texas dropped 2 cents this week to $1.98. In San Antonio, the average price per gallon is down 2 cents to $1.94.

Amarillo drivers are seeing the lowest prices in the state at $1.86. Midland has the highest average price at $2.41.
