San Antonio home sales climb in August

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The number of homes being sold in San Antonio continues to climb.

The San Antonio Board of Realtors is reporting 3,788 homes were sold in the month of August, marking a 2% increase over August of last year.

Inventory has also climbed by nearly 16% with 4,663 houses on the market.

Sellers are getting what they’re asking for their homes. 100% of the houses sold for their list price.

And that’s climbing as well with the average asking price for a home in Bexar County coming in at $352,662. That’s up from $298,200 a year ago.

In all of Texas, a total of 42,808 new listings hit the market and August closed with 52,802 active listings.
