San Antonio man arrested for killing his mother’s dog

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A 39 year old man is charged with animal cruelty after killing his mother’s dog.

The incident occurred on October 24th when James Garcia got into an argument with his mother.

Police say Garcia was upset because his mother refused to let him bring a woman into his bedroom at his mother’s home.

They began to argue and Garcia grabbed the small dog off the sofa, then threw her across the room.

The small dog, named Roxy, was taken for emergency veterinary care, but she died of internal injuries she suffered when she hit the floor.

Garcia was arrested on Saturday but is now out on $5,000 bond. Garcia tells police he’s sorry he hurt the dog.
