San Antonio man gets 30 years in prison for sexually assaulting child and recording it

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A San Antonio man found guilty of having sex with a prepubescent minor on numerous occasions will spend 30 years in prison.

Pedro Damian Martinez, 29, was also found guilty of recording the assaults on video, and court documents show that he had more than 100 child pornography videos on his phone.

Martinez was also ordered to pay $50,000 to the sexual assault victim in restitution and he had to give up the cell phones used to produce the child sexual abuse material.

“This verdict illustrates the importance of law enforcement agencies working together in efforts to bring violent predators to justice and protect our communities,” said a spokesperson with the San Antonio Police Department Public Information Office.

The FBI, S.A.P.D. and Bexar County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Tracy Thompson prosecuted the case.
