San Antonio man hit with hatchet during robbery

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — An East Side resident is recovering after someone broke into his apartment and hit him with a hatchet.
At around 2 A.M. Thursday, someone broke into one of the units at The Center Apartments on East Commerce.
The resident tried to stop the robbery but he was hit in the head with a hatchet and the intruder ran off.
The victim is at Brooke Army Medical Center in serious condition.
Police are still looking for the person who broke into the apartment.
