San Antonio man killed at southside gas station

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A 77 year old man was shot to death while fueling up at a southside gas station.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, at around 1 AM, the man was walking back to his vehicle at the 7-11 Exxon at 403 Fair Avenue, near I-37.

That’s when two men, described as Hispanic males walked up to the victim, one of them pulled out a pistol and shot the man in his face.

The men ran away, heading westbound on Fair Avenue and the victim died at the scene. His name won’t be released until his family is notified.

Police are trying to figure out why they shot the victim because they made to attempt to rob him.

The act was caught on the store’s surveillance system.
