SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — An hours-long family violence standoff ended Sunday night on San Antonio’s southwest side.

San Antonio police say a 26-year-old man threatened a 51-year-old family member at a home on West Southcross near Interstate 35 with a gun.

Police say the younger man was visibly irate.  Officers contained him inside the house while they tried negotiating with him.

After several hours, police were able to get the man to peacefully surrender.

It is not clear if any charges will be filed.
