San Antonio pet shelters host summer adopt-a-thon

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — It’s a bit overcrowded at local animal shelters so they’re working together to find homes for dozens of pets.

Animal Care Services, San Antonio Pets Alive, Animal Defense League and the San Antonio Humane Society are all holding a “Pick Your Price” adoption event this weekend.

Potential pet parents can name their adoption fees for both dogs and cats this Friday through Sunday.

Keep in mind that the standard adoption procedures apply at each shelter and pets are available on a first come-first served basis.

The following shelters are participating in the adoption event:

• Animal Care Services, 4710 State Hwy 151
• San Antonio Pets Alive, 4710 State Hwy 151 (Bldg. 1)
• San Antonio Humane Society, 4804 Fredericksburg Road
• Animal Defense League, 11300 Nacogdoches
