San Antonio police arrest man accused of kidnapping 7-year-old girl

SAN ANTONIO KTSA News) – A man accused of kidnapping a 7-year-old girl last week at a Northside apartment complex has been arrested.

Police say 42-year-old Jack Steele grabbed the child Thursday night the complex near Redland Road at Loop 1604 and put her in his vehicle, but the girl managed to jump out and scream as Steele drove away.

SAPD released security camera photos of Steele loitering around the swimming pool at the complex and officers received several tips from the community.

Thanks to those tips, detectives found Steele and arrested him on a kidnapping warrant Wednesday.
