San Antonio police charge man with murder following shooting in Walmart parking lot

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — An arrest has been made in connection with a fatal shooting in a South Side Walmart parking lot.

San Antonio police say 70-year-old Michael Wayne Ludwig has been charged with fatally shooting a man Monday morning.

It happened just before 7 a.m. on SE Military Drive.

Police say they found the victim lying on the ground. He died at the scene and his name hasn’t been released.

KSAT 12 is reporting that Ludwig was either sleeping or living in his truck when he and the victim began arguing. At some point, Ludwig pulled a gun and shot the man two times.

Officers detained Ludwig and a witness for questioning and have since charged Ludwig with murder.

The investigation into the shooting is still going on and KTSA News will update this developing story when more information is available.
