San Antonio Police find woman’s body inside a home after ending standoff with an armed man

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A man who was involved in a standoff with San Antonio Police is in critical condition.

The standoff began at around 9 P.M. Monday at the La Posada Del Rey Apartments  in the 3100 block of Roosevelt Avenue.

The man made a threat that he was going to kill the mother of his child then kill himself.

When the officers arrived, the man was standing in a window, armed with a rifle.

He walked outside with his child in his arms before going back inside.

That’s when the man picked up his gun and stepped outside again. He turned to face three officers who were nearby and that’s when they opened fire.

The man was brought to the hospital in critical condition.

Police then entered the home and found the body of a woman in her 30’s or 40’s. Her name and cause of death haven’t been released.

There were also three children inside the home. They were not hurt.

Police are still investigating.
