San Antonio Police: Homeless man hit by SUV while crossing Northwest Side street in critical condition

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — San Antonio police say a homeless man is in critical condition after he was hit by a SUV.
It happened at around 5 a.m. Wednesday on Callaghan Road near Silvercrest.
Police say the man, reported to be in his 50’s, was crossing the road when he was hit by a driver who was taking her daughter to school.
The driver did stop and called for help, staying with the man until help arrived.
Officers at the scene say the man was rushed to the hospital where he is reported to be in critical condition.
His name hasn’t been released and police say the driver who hit him will not be charged.
