San Antonio Police investigating convenience store robbery spree

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — San Antonio Police were busy responding to several convenience store robberies overnight.

Police Chief William McManus says the first robbery happened at the Pronto Food Mart at 1604 and O’Connor and the crimes continued until 8 Wednesday morning.

McManus says they believe the same people committed all of the robberies.

Other stores that were hit include:

Valero Corner Store at 5502 Blanco

The Exxon at 12011 Highway 281 North

The 7-11 at 1202 NE Loop 410

The Circle K at 1802 South General McMullen

and the last one was at NE Loop 410 and Starcrest

The robberies were carried out by two men wearing hoodies. One of the suspects would show a gun and demand cash. They would take the money, cash drawers and clerks’ cell phones and keys before taking off.

One of the clerks was taken to the hospital after getting pistol whipped by one of the suspects.
A newspaper delivery man was shot at but he wasn’t hit.

Chief McManus is hoping they can catch the men before someone else is seriously hurt.

He’s asking anyone with information to call the robbery unit at 210-207-0300.
