San Antonio police officer arrested for stalking ex-girlfriend

San Antonio (KTSA News) – A San Antonio police officer has been arrested on a charge of stalking his ex-girlfriend, and additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.

A woman called police Wednesday to report that officer Kenneth Moreno had been harassing her all day by calling and texting her repeatedly and driving to her home. The woman also told police that officer Moreno took her cell phone and tried to search through it. She claims she couldn’t even call 911 because Moreno was constantly calling her.

The case is linked to another incident involving a fellow officer Moreno was involved with. Officer Nicolette Muniz, was arrested last month on an assault charge. A woman told police that Muniz punched her in the face and neck. Both women reportedly were in a romantic relationship with Moreno.

Officer Moreno is on administrative leave as the investigation continues.

“The allegations against this officer are disturbing especially in light of all the recent focus on domestic/dating violence. Simply put this behavior is not acceptable and will not be tolerated by any member of the San Antonio Police Department.
