UPDATE: 17-year-old suspect wanted for shooting San Antonio police officer

UPDATE 6:00 p.m.:

San Antonio police are looking for 17-year-old Devin Perez.

Police say Perez is facing an attempted capital murder charge for shooting a police officer.

He’s described as being about six-feet tall, thin and was last seen with dyed blonde hair.

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A San Antonio Police Officer was hit during a shoot out on the south side.

Officers responded to a robbery report at a home in the 200 block of West Mayfield just after midnight. They were met with gunshots when they arrived.

One of the officers was shot in the foot.

The second officer returned fire but the shooter and another person got away.

The wounded officer’s name wasn’t released but he is in stable condition and police are searching for whoever shot him. We’ll have more details as they become available.
