SAPD: Fatal shooting in Stone Oak may involve attempted suicide
Update (November 14, 2024)
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Police Department is releasing more details about a Wednesday night triple shooting in Stone Oak.
Investigators now believe the shooter turned the gun on himself after he shot a 60-year-old woman and a 59-year-old man, who is now in critical condition. The woman was pronounced dead.
The 25-year-old suspect is also in critical condition after what is reported as a self-inflicted gunshot to the head.
SAPD says the man was shot inside the home, and the suspect then followed the woman outside and shot her. The suspect and the woman were found outside when police arrived after 5 p.m.
Investigators are now analyzing a gun that was found at the scene.
If the suspect survives, he is looking at charges of murder and aggravated assault. If the second victim dies, an upgraded charge of capital murder is expected for the suspect.
No names are being released at this time.
This is a developing story and KTSA News will give more details when possible.
