San Antonio Police say two men shot while trying to rob another man on the West Side

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — An example of “mess around and find out” when two people attempted to rob a man on the West Side over the weekend.

San Antonio police say they were called to the 200 block of Ranch Valley Drive just before 4 a.m. Sunday.

That’s when a 34-year-old man was approached by two other men who reportedly tried to rob him at gunpoint.

Turns out, he was armed as well. He pulled his gun and shot both men in what police say was self-defense.

Both of them were brought to a hospital but there has been no update on their conditions or what they will be charged with.

The man they tried to rob wasn’t hurt.

The case is still under investigation and KTSA News will update this developing story when more details are released.
