San Antonio Police: Woman falls into uncovered manhole while walking on the South Side

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — She was out for a leisurely walk on the Southside but ended up getting a ride…… in an ambulance.

San Antonio police say the woman was walking near the Packard Street and Brunswick Boulevard intersection at around 12:30 p.m. Thursday when she fell into a manhole.

The manhole was not covered and the woman fell a few feet, injuring her leg when she hit the ground. She was brought to a hospital to be checked out.

Her name hasn’t been released and there’s been no word on the extent of her injury.

Police haven’t said why the manhole was not covered.
