San Antonio Police: Woman hit by driver on South Side in critical condition, driver in custody for Suspicion of DWI

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A woman is in the hospital and a man in jail after a driver hit a pedestrian on a South Side road Thursday morning.

According to San Antonio police, the woman was attempting to cross at the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and Mission Road just after 2 a.m. when she was hit by a driver in a dark colored sedan.

Police say the driver who hit the woman did stop to help, but he was arrested for suspicion of DWI.

The woman was rushed to a local hospital where she is said to be in critical condition.

No names have been released and the investigation continues.
