SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — If you have cans of old paint, used motor oil and other hazardous materials stored in your garage, you can dispose of them for free on Saturday.

The City if San Antonio is allowing residents to drop off hazardous household waste for disposal.

You can bring materials such as antifreeze, motor oil, paint, pesticides, batteries, old computers or cell phones to Brooks City Base at 8261 Boyle Road from 8A.M until 1P.M.

You’ll just need to bring a recent copy of their CPS Energy utility bill along with a picture ID to enter the event.

San Antonio Water System  will also be having a MedDrop SA event. Residents are encouraged to bring unwanted medications to be disposed of in a safe and proper manner.  They’re not accepting needles and other ‘sharps’.  If you’re just disposing of unwanted meds, you do not need to bring a CPS Energy bill.
