San Antonio Spur enjoys life in Southtown

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – Unlike manly of his buddies who live in the Dominion or gated communities in Stone Oak, a San Antonio Spur from Australia has chosen to experience a different side of town.

Spurs point guard Patty Mills and his fiancée Alyssa Levesque live in Southtown.

“Last season we moved down here and we just got a whole different perspective of the city which we absolutely love,” says Mills.

A video produced by Spurs Sports and Entertainment and Frost Bank shows the couple walking along the River Walk, bicycling, dropping in at Southtown coffee shops and enjoying outdoor festivals and other events in the downtown area.

Mills calls San Antonio a “cool city” with friendly people.

“The amount of travel that we do in the NBA season and the hectic cities that we go to, it feels good to come back home to San Antonio and get back into a routine and enjoy it,” Mills said.

He says they get to “dive into the community” and show the people pf San Antonio that they’re “normal.”
