San Antonio voters approve all 6 city charter amendments

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Voters in San Antonio have approved all six of the city charter amendments that were on the ballot.

The propositions included term limits for city council and the city manager, along with pay increases for those positions.

With 100% of the precincts reporting, the final tally as of early Wednesday morning went like this:

Proposition A, a modification of the purview and funding of the city’s Ethics Review Commission passes with just under 72%

Proposition B, a move to clean up charter language deemed outdated gets just under 68%

Proposition C, one of the most controversial questions on the city ballot wants to do away with a 2018 charter change which sets limits on city manager pay and how long they can hold onto the job passes with 54%

Proposition D passes with about 63% of the voters in favor of allowing city employees to participate in local political campaigns.

Proposition E, this is for increases in city council salaries and it passes with nearly 64%.

Proposition F, another issue involving city council. This one is for increasing term limits from 2 years to 4. It passes with nearly 53%.
