SAPD: 2 arrested, accused of trying to steal South Side ATM machine

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Police Department has two of three suspects accused of trying too steal a South Side ATM machine in custody.

The third suspect is still on the run.

Police responded to unknown bank around 4:30 a.m. after an alarm went off. Investigators say Dexter Robinson and Nevon Barnes, both 25, were arrested, and investigators are making note of the fact both suspects are from Houston.

SAPD says there has been a rise in the number of people coming to San Antonio from Houston to commit crimes.

Law enforcement is urging you to cautious when taking money out of an ATM machine because there could be someone waiting for an opportunity to steal money.
