SAPD: Fireworks are illegal in San Antonio city limits during 4th of July

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Police Department is reminding you that setting off fireworks within the city limits is illegal.

Violators could face a fine of up to $2,000 on a class C Misdemeanor.

If you, or someone else, gets hurt because of fireworks, you are urged to call 911 right away.

In the event you see the reckless use of fireworks that could hurt someone or set off a fire, you can call SAPD’s non-emergency number at 210-207-7273. Officers will prioritize these calls based on the information given and the overall demand for service.

You are urged to visit one of the professional fireworks displays occurring throughout the city.
