SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Police Department is honoring one of their own in the skies of the Alamo City.
Detective Benjamin Marconi was shot and killed in November 2016 during a traffic stop, and his initials and last three digits of his badge number now appear on the tail of a E.A.G.L.E. helicopter.
Marconi served San Antonio for 27 years.
Otis McKane was convicted in Marconi’s shooting death, and he was sentenced to death in August 2021.
