SAPD Investigates Kidnapping

San Antonio Police are looking for a suspect in a child kidnapping case.

Police say the parents were pushing their 7-year-old daughter in a stroller on a west side street shortly after midnight when a man offered them a ride and took them to Lulu’s Cafe on North Main.

“He bought a meal for the family and at one point, the parents went to the restroom and the child was asleep,” said officer Douglas Greene.

When the parents returned from the restroom the child and the man were gone.

Greene says the man later dropped her off at Jack in the Box on San Pedro at Euclid, but the search continues for the suspect.

He’s described as a dark-complected Hispanic with missing teeth and salt-and-pepper hair, last seen in a maroon SUV.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the San Antonio Police Department.

The girl was unharmed. She’s been turned over to Child Protective Services as the investigation continues.
