SAPD: Man accused of multiple same-day armed robberies arrested

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A man accused of three armed robberies in approximately eight hours is now behind bars.

The San Antonio Police Department arrested Nathan Diaz, 27, on Sunday and charged him with multiple counts of aggravated robbery at two known locations and an unknown third location.

Investigators say Diaz robbed an Exxon location before sunrise on November 16, and then robbed a Family Dollar location later that morning after 9 a.m.

SAPD says witnesses to the Family Dollar robbery followed Diaz and then passed along his location to police, who later say they found the clothing Diaz was wearing at one of the robberies.

Police say Diaz confessed to a third robbery that took place the same day, giving him a reported three robberies in what police say was a period of eight hours.

Diaz was taken to the Bexar County Jail and was given a bond of $100,000.
