SAPD: Man dead after motorcycle crash on North Side

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Police Department is trying to figure out what led to a motorcycle crash that left a rider dead Monday night.

Investigators say a man was found in a ditch around 7 p.m. in a ditch in the 2800 block of Briarfield, located on the North Side.

Police say the man was in his 40s or 50s and it appears as though he hit his head on cement nearby, but there is no word on whether or not he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

According to SAPD, the man was found about an hour after the crash and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
