SAPD: Man killed after being thrown from truck, pinned underneath

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A crash near downtown Tuesday night is leaving a man dead after he was thrown from his truck.
Police say the man was driving on West Woodlawn Avenue just after 11 p.m. when he ran a red light. The pickup truck ran into a car and then flipped. After being thrown from the truck, the man ended up pinned underneath it.
The truck was lifted off the man, but he died at the scene.
The man is described as being in his 40s, but no other details were given.
The driver of the other car involved is not facing charges.
