SAPD: Man rescued with Jaws of Life after north side crash

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A man is expected to recover after a north side crash that required the Jaws of Life to rescue him.

The San Antonio Police Department says the man was driving on Wetmore Road around 1:15 a.m. when he crashed into a poll. Investigators say the driver ended up pinned inside the car after the impact.

Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to pry the door away and the man was then pulled out. Police say he had minor injuries, yet he was taken to University Hospital.
