SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A San Antonio police officer is suspended 30 days for her role in what is being described as a ‘drunken disturbance’ at a real estate gala back in March of this year.

It happened at the University of the Incarnate Word’s Rosenberg Sky Room when officer Kristie Bush, hired to play music as a DJ, appeared to be intoxicated and disruptive at the event.

KSAT-12 reports Bush originally had a 45-day suspension, but it was downgraded to 30 days after a meeting with Police Chief William McManus.

Body cam footage was obtained by KSAT-12, and it shows several minutes of interactions between Bush and other officers from both SAPD and UIW. Several people at the event told police Bush interrupted the host of the event and used profane language at times.

At one point, Bush is seen complaining about when she was getting paid for the gig, which was scheduled for 10 p.m. to midnight on March 16, 2024.

Over the course of the incident, another off-duty SAPD officer was escorted from the venue, although he was not disciplined.
