SAPD: Road rage in school zone has two questioned, one needing stiches

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Police Department is investigating after two drivers got into a fight in a school zone on the far Northeast Side Friday morning.

Investigators say it all started when a man driving an Audi told another man to slow down in the school zone near the intersection of Lake Champlain and Independence Avenue. Just after 7:30 a.m., police say the man accused of reckless driving got angry and pulled over. There was a brief exchange before the angry driver left the scene.

Later, SAPD says the angry driver came back and confronted the Audi driver with a gun. From there, the Audi driver pulled his gun as he started recording the other driver with his phone. The man driving the Audi eventually disarmed the other man and hit him on the head with his gun.

Investigators say one shot was fired by the Audi driver, and there is no word on whether or not anyone was hit.

Police are now trying to figure out who was the aggressor during the altercation.
