SAPD: Woman dead after Northwest Side hit-and-run

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Police Department is looking for the driver of a car after a fatal hit and run crash Thursday morning.

Investigators say it went down on Babcock Road near St. Cloud as a man in his 60s was headed south just before 7 a.m. Police say he hit a woman in the middle of the street and then stopped to help.

Shortly after, police say another car came up on the scene and hit the woman and the first driver. The woman died at the scene and the man was taken to the hospital, but the second driver kept going.

SAPD confirms the second driver will be facing charges, and there was no description of that vehicle to pass along.

The investigation continues.
