Schertz PD: Bullet found at Clemens High School, TikTok video goes viral
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The Schertz Police Department is investigating after a bullet was found at Clemens High School on Thursday.
A student notified a school resource officer about what they had found just before 11 a.m. A K-9 unit was called to find out if there were any traces of gunpowder.
Not long after, police discovered a TikTok video was circulating among students on campus.
“We want to thank the student that reported this incident,” said Police Chief Jim Lowery. “We want to thank the student that reported this incident. However, we would like to remind everyone to use the proper channels to report a situation that requires immediate attention. There are negative consequences of inaccurate or unexplained video footage that can cause undue community alarm or place the public at risk.”
No additional threats were found and no injuries reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
