SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – They’re filling up the tanks at San Antonio’s SEA LIFE Aquarium, and they’re starting with the largest one–the ocean tank.  The Fire Department was called in to help with the first pour Thursday and it’s expected to take three days to fill up the 155,000-gallon ocean tank. Then they’ll pour in 18,000 pounds of salt.

“We will showcase in this tank, specifically tropical marine life from local and international waters,” said general manager Jeremy Aguillen. “We have the nurse shark, the black tip reef shark, jelly fish, the blue spotted stingrays.”

SEA LIFE Aquarium is scheduled to open February 20, 2020 next to LEGOLAND Discovery Center at the Shops at Rivercenter.
